Perched on a hilltop, just a few kms from the hustle bustle of Jaisalmer, is bada bagh. It contains a set of royal cenotaphs, or (chhatris) of erstwhile Maharajas of Jaisalmer, starting with Jai Singh II. Many scenes of bollywood films have been shot here. The one I remember well is the Salman- Aishwarya mock wedding scene in Hum Dil... More

I visited this place twice and it was always as a magic for me. All these old carving constructions, built as memorials to the royal family, are quite impressive! It feels very calming and relaxing here, maybe sometimes even magical. It is a good place to sit and think about life... When the sun goes down, the view is amazing... More

There are very majestic structure created, otherwise not much interest to visit a cemetery. Though the place was not maintained at all there was hefty fee to visit this place. One can get the complete view of the stricture from the entrance (no fee needed). There is not much to do, there are stones all around. Only good part is... More

was interesting to see this cemetery. Some of the tombs are crumbling which is sad to see. Very peaceful, serene place to sit and contemplate if you are interested. More

They have just doubled the fees for entry and for use of camera. It looks to be pretty much like the Vyas Chhatri Cemetery, and you have a great spot to take photos just outside the gate. Since we had already been to Vyas, we declined the new fees and took photos from a short distance. More

The out of the way location belied a truly affecting mausoleum site, with beautiful monuments closely placed together giving a real sense of Rajasthani history from the maharajah's angle. The juxtaposition of this site with the wind farm in the background gave a good image of India's current position. More

This tourist activity started with hundreds of tourists in small knots sitting on top of a line swaying camels being led in single file down a track to the dunes. The camels are interspersed with a few camel drawn open carts carrying small laughing groups who prefer being closer to the ground.. It is very silly and rather fun. On... More

This is a stunning place to witness great architecture surrounded by the desolate desert landscape.....sit back and soak up the expanse and take time to reflect. More
