We were lucky enough to be shown around by one of the owners, an old man from the family who own it. He showed us around the building and gave explanations about what life was like living there in its heyday. He showed us the cunning way the decorative stonework was put together so that bits that deteriorated could be... More

The house is only marginally suitable for touring. The guide/owner is a stern man with no people skills. The place is falling down around their ears. You are stopped in the souvenirs room and encouraged to purchase. There has been zero effort to make this beautiful old haveli worth a visit. We enjoyed the view from the top, we picked... More

As with other havelis, there's always some interesting information, and a beautiful building. But it was pretty unrestored (which has its own interest) and we were too closely followed by the custodian, so it became an uncomfortable experience. More

The haveli is in a state of disrepair but is cheap to enter, the brief tour was interesting and the view of the fort from the rooftop is good. It does not compare with many of the painted havelis in Shekhawati but is worth seeing if you have the time. You are encouraged to purchase some of the products/oils on offer... More

this place is pretty small, and not worth more than 30min of the time. i overheard some guide explaining the haveli, which doesn't help to make it more interesting. but of course, the view of the fort from the roof is great for pictures. More

Good place to learn about architecture of havelis. Some pressure to buy souvenirs, though. They practically lure you to the "shopping room" where everything costs more than 400 rupees... More

The only attractive feature of this haveli is on the upper floor, worth a couple of photographs. No guides to explain! All one knows is that it was this Salim Singh, the Dewan of Jaisalmer who exploited women and was responsible for the entire Kuldhara Village to become deserted overnight(as he had asked for a girl from that village).
