A very sad story of a beautiful story gone wrong. Our initial experience of driving into Lavasa was of disbelief. It was very hot and the unfinished houses gave it an extremely sordid look. We went for a day trip to Lavasa last Sunday and sorry to say that we found the place quite boring! Nothing much to do or see!! Not sure about how it will be if you plan to stay there for weekend, but definitely not worth for a day trip when u have "hazaar" other interesting places in Pune More

Though the route to this place is scenic, the place itself has low quality and too high priced buildings to offer. You cant stop feeling sorry for the environment they have ruined while constructing this project. More

its around 50 kms frm pune..i was on bike ....intial 30 kms drive is nt gd...lot of traffic on plane roads... last 20 kms is gd drive....had lunch in famous Ekaant... place is gd...but food was just ok....drive to lavasa.. its scenic...its beautiful...n in monsoons there r watersports n waterfalls..but its hot...when there is no rain its hot n too... Its a nice place around 60 kms from pune. The road leading to Lavasa is well maintained and is very easily accessible from Mumbai-Pune ByPass Road. Every year we visit Lavasa city in Monsoon. Must visit place for nature lovers. Lots of food chain shops are available. You will get bus shuttle service from Kothrud, Pune. Road quality to Lavasa from Pirangut is awesome and surly you will enjoy your drive. More
