Amboli is a less known beautiful hill resort. It is in the southern range of Sahyadri hills, and near Sawantwadi. This is the last mountain recourse - after this the coastal highlands settle to form flat beaches. This hill station is covered with mist during the rainy season. Submersed by thick forests and outrageous valleys, this placid mountaintop extends some of... More

While we were planning a trip to Goa, we also included a short stay at Amboli, a small hill station in south Maharashtra. Situated 690 meters above the sea level, it is the last hill station before the coastal highlands of Goa. For going there, we got down at Sawantwadi Road, the last stop the Trivandrum Rajdhani Express makes before... More

Amboli - comes up a fair amount of times in any conversation during the monsoons if you live in Goa, Belgaum or Kohlapur. If you love driving, you'll love the trip. The drive through the breathtaking views of the ghats is simply amazing. The mist from the falls rise up, makes the drive much more appreciable. Do not go if... More

I have visited this place during the month of September and found that the place is full of fog. You can experience the chillness which is available only in mountains. There is a good place to stay and the total area covered is about 6 kms only. Nice place to visit and spend idle time. More
