It is interesting from the point of view of a tourist as they get to see an old Portuguese bungalow and the ancestral way of life. My only comment would be "Don't take this as part of an organised tour because you will not have time to go through the two/three locations at your leisure and will be rushed through".... More

This is the ancestral GOA village model. It is okay for people who have never seen any Indian village. Even now many of the things do happen in the Indian villages. It is a okay place to visit. Ticket cost : rs 50 I found the Magic lamp very interesting. I got one and I am happy about it. Check... More

Although the website listed the entry fee as 20 rupees, the unpleasant woman at the ticket counter asked for 150 rupees a piece for myself and my 12-year old daughter who usually attracts no charge at museums and other cultural attractions. Pressed, she snapped that the price included something across the road that we hadn't asked about. We eventually, and... More

This place didnt make me jump, so to say. The area is dirty and the displays just tells what you can read in any tourist brochure. Even the guides here seem to talk on autopilot, and during the visit you get literally pushed into a souvenir shop (as all over India, which is annoying). Some of the displays/models are ok... More

Sprawling over a nine acre hillock at Loutulim in South Goa, the Ancestral Goa project is an effort to recreate the rural life of Goa as it had existed in the days of yore. Essentially a miniature Goan village, Ancestral Goa is the culmination of the dream and singular efforts of Goan artist, Maendra J. Alvares, who wanted to create... More

While people percieve goa's beaches as destination, one can surely have a countryside religious tour. Big foot meuseum situated in South Goa, is a place to visit for such a purpose. And It is a temple of a person Mahader, whose imprint is in form of Big foot on a rock. He was so generous and wise throughout his life.... More
