This is a beautiful national park in northern Assam, India. The sanctuary extends over the border and into the hills of Bhutan but obviously you need a visa to cross. We travelled in January which is not the best time for wildlife viewing as the grass is very high however we managed to see wild elephants, rhinos and even barking... More

We came to Manas National Park for one night, stayed in a guesthouse at the tip of the park in a place called Mathanguri.
