the climb was tougher than i expected, really does your calfs in! but once you get to the summit you watch the beautiful sunrise and incredible views. then you go down the 3000 steps of repentance and this does your knees in and i was particularly careful going down.

In mid-October, we travelled by van through the desert in the middle of the night, arriving at the bottom of Mount Sinai at 1:30 in the morning. That is when we began our climb. It was very cold, even at the bottom of the mountain, so we piled on lots of layers, which we took off as soon as the... More

This trip requires good physical and mental strength if you dont have it avoid it but once your on top it is amazing. Be very carful with the drives health and safety is not their priority.

if you are not very fit it will be better to use the camel which will take you three quarters of the mountain.

Worth the travel, great scenery and view. Hiking up is tiring yet peaceful and rewarding. Took many photos of the beautiful sunset.

In a word Brilliant.............. and at sunset! The mountains that surround and that mountain itself that is in all the three religions, for Christians, Muslims & Jew I discovered that many thousands of years ago were all beneath a much vaster Red Sea.... see what I mean about mind blowing & spiritual!

This was a well organised trip and a lot of fun. We did have an English speaking girl with the main guide who rode at the back of our convoy of quads, but the guide did speak good English anyway. The sights were amazing and we stopped at a small village for tea and soft drinks. The young children sell... More

I visited Mount Sinai a few years back now but I've just been reading recent reviews so I thought I'd add my own recollections. I climbed Mount Sinai at night starting at about 10pm. I was in a group of about 15 people and, in theory, we were supposed to stick together all the way up! We were given a... More
