We stopped off here on our way down to El Gouna. I was amazed at the size of it as I drove up. We were meet by Father Ruiz who spoke very good english. He told us about the history of the monastry and showed us around. The old church was amazing the wall paintings beautiful. It was so quiet... More

I visited St Anthony's Monastery in March 2010 during my stay at Hurghada. We arrived just before sunrise and attended the morning mass at about 5.30am.
