Cristo Rei is situated right up a hill. You will take an approximate of 30 mins to climb up. Steps are uneven and you can feel it especially during rainy days where flooding starts and several places got really slippery. View from top is simply spectacular and worth the climb. Along the way there are small shelters. More

Great place to exercise, just be careful of the new motorbike gangs that like to hang around it over the weekend. Great views of Dili and sunsets. Make sure you have reppellent with you as mosquitoes are pretty thirsty over there More

Next time I will count the steps - must be 200+. Most reviews suggest morning to be the best time however I climbed the steps late afternoon and the view was spectacular at that time of the day. More

One of so little tourist attraction in Dili. When we came, the place was pretty messed up after the big wind the night before. One tree was fallen and lied in the middle of the track. The bathroom was out of order. Need about 30 minutes for us to get to the peak, it was worthy though. Very nice scenery.... More

So don't miss it! A cool status, standing on a globe, with great views. Too many joggers ruining it for everyone else though. There's now a rough path leading from part way up down to a good beach behind it. More

Cristo Rei offers a fantastic view of the surrounding hills, beaches and seas. The presence of the towering statue of Christ gives the place a feeling of peace and serenity. Cristo Rei is a good walk from Dili during the early morning hours. Lots of places along the way to get refreshed and watch people particularly during the weekends. More

An iconic attraction in Dili. Makes for a nice half day excursion. The drive meanders along the coastline. Parking is available and the area has been recently done up. The climb is quite gentle via steps and will take about 20 minutes. Excellent views to be had from the top on both sides of the bay. More

What has been said is very true.Climb and be rewarded with a scenic view of the sea and mountains. We took a cab from our apartment.Costs USD3 (foreigner rate I guess).Contrary to what some travellers have said, we took a leisurely walk up the steps and reached the top in 20minutes.Cristo Rei is a popular exercise route for trekkers and...
