The landscape is absolutely breath taking. First you arrive to the most beautiful forest, which you can walk or even cross riding on a donkey, and then you arrive to pristine beaches. Be aware that in some of the beaches the current is so strong that it is forbidden to swimm, but anyway the view is so beautiful that it's... More

The beaches are totally pristine and remote. Some of the most gorgeous terrain and scenery you'll ever have the chance to see! More

Tayrona is a not to be missed attraction if you are near Santa Marta. Take a bus ride or rent a car in Santa Marta and head there. Be aware that you'll need your passport if you're a foreigner. Check-in was easy at the gate. Staff were friendly and gave us a quick introduction to (printed information). I suggest you... More

Superb beaches await those who walk from the bus stop. First up is Arrecifes here there are maybe 3 or 4 places to sleep. Next is La Piscina which has 1 place. Then another 45 minutes or so is Cabot which only has 1 place to sleep but there is a lot of camping and hammocks here so it accommodates... More

Tayrona is vast. The area we visited was about an hour by bus from Santa Marta. Although we did enjoy our visit, we would like to have spent more time in the Park, hiking in the mountains and swimming at the beach. As a swimmer, I do recommend the Tayrona beaches. More

As a Colombian citizen, I have visited the popular beaches of Cartagena, Santa Marta, Tolu y Cobeñas. And seriously, I had never seen a place as beautiful as Tayrona National Park. Its beaches are overwhelming, the deep blue ocean is amazing, and the forest is the home of many interesting species such as monkeys, foxes, and birds. This is the... More

Amazing. Im a little embarassed to admit it seen as i am a grown man but at least one tear got through my defences as i stood ankle deep in the clear golden water (literally looked like the flakes in goldschlager). Mountains close behind and seemingly abandoned stretches of beautiful beach as far as i could see. Dont get me... More

Guiseppe is a great competent private guide who knows a lot of details about the rainforest. Even his humor and always shiny mood makes a trip with him through Tayrona National Park unforgetable.
