We were taken here for lunch by a tour operator on the way back from the mud volcano. I'm not sure why. While the beach is pretty, the drive into this area is sad as this area looks quite depressed.

We were in Manzanillo del Mar in January of 2012. We walked along the beach and found the sand dark grey and the water very dark.
Nice to walk along the beach though., because the water of the ocean is nice and warm. The beach has many debris on it. As far as the village goes we didn't venture inside...
