This museum is just a little underdone but it does reveal that there were over 100 gardens in Suzhou - not just the 6 or so now available. The question is - where are they? Occupied by government/party grandees?

Had dinner in the restuarant above the museum on our first night in Suzhou. Private dining room with out own private bath and sitting area. Food was superb and soooo much of it. What an experience.

I visited the Garden museum after spending a couple hours outside in the "real" garden (see separate review) and found the indoor museum to be the perfect academic addition to the entire collection of Classical Chinese gardens I saw during my time in Suzhou.
