I totally agree with all the reviews which say what a spectacularly beautiful NP this is. BUT, the main road from Putre to the Bolivian border is being "improved". This means that there are 40km (I do not exaggerate) of roadworks. There is the normal volume of lorries transiting between Bolivia and Arica, and large numbers of roadworks vehicles also....
