We purchsed the grandparents membership which is worth every penny. I take the grandkids frequently and they love it. Particulary Discovery bay. we are however very sad that the zoo will be losing its last 2 dolphins. More

I am fortunate to live within a couple of miles of the Minnesota Zoo and take my family there regularly. Purchasing a family pass is definitely the way to go, as it pays for itself on 2-3 visits. It is a wonderful destination for all seasons. In the summer, with its outdoor play areas, and water fountains, it makes for... More

It can be a good time for the family, but mostly for the younger ones. Going during the weekday can be very trying if there are children from schools attending. More

If you are looking to see the big animals from a child's zoo book, you might be disappointed. At the Minnesota Zoo, you are going to see animals where you may say, "What is that?" and have to read the sign (with your child!). Ever heard of a dhole -- only 3 US zoos have them, and MN Zoo is... More

The MN Zoo has a lot to see and lots of land! The tram travels over many of the enclosures, offering a unique vantage point without disturbing the animals. As for the enclosures you can see by foot, they are quite spread out, but it is a good exercise to see the whole place. The bird show was fun and... More

The kids loved the zoo and I always love visiting. The older I get the more I enjoy the exhibits and learning new information. Parking is a bit expensive. More

This zoo continues to make improvements and add new exhibits. When there is an animal off display they always have an explanation waiting. They are in the process of redoing their saltwater exhibit. It is slow going ntroducing fish to a new saltwater enviroment though. There are a couple parks for kids located along the exterior trails if you'd like... More

This zoo continues to expand and refine exhibits. It is very large and is handicap accessible, with wide, paved pathways or take the elevated tram. There is an indoor segement as well for tropical exhibits. Food opportunities are available especially in the summer. Lots of parking available. It is a great place to visit for all ages. More
