A very unique mall. Must surely visit when in Dubai. It gives you an insight into different cultures. Even though its a bit out of the way, the metro take you right there. Also, the mall houses the only IMAX theater in the U.A.E.

A themed (by country) mall with plenty of shops and places to eat.
It is a bit out of the way (unless you are staying at Ibn Battuta Gate Hotel) for tourists but is close to a metro station. Shops are at mid end of the market range.

Good food court, very good mall building with theme of different countries. Good parking and cinema. My son recommended the visit.

It's one of the best malls in Dubai... Each section has its own theme rather I would say the mall is divided into different themes based on the travels of Ibn Batutta ( China, India, Persia etc)...Plenty of branded and non-branded shops... Food court is huge and have lots of options to choose from... Dine in restaurants are plenty as...

Mall theme based on the travels of Ibn battuta. The mall has been done up beautifully. The mall itself is as much as an attraction as the shops within it.

I have been to most of the malls in Dubai but have a definite preference for Ibn Battuta Mall. I will admit I am biased, as I live close-by, but still, I still think it is the mall with a difference. I feel it has got character and not the usual, cold, spanking clean newer malls. The different country themes...

Dubai has tons of shopping, and many, many malls. I'd never heard of this one--it doesn't have the same kind of hype that Dubai Mall does--but it was my favorite of the three major malls I visited. Each section is decorated according to a particular theme, based on a part of the world that Ibn Battuta visited. There were fountains,...

First of all.. It's the farthest mall from the heart of the city. Second last stop in the metro. So b patient and expect a loong ride.
The theme is an excellent one but the whole architectural ambiance is spoiled by shops which encroach into places where u can enjoy the theme. The Persian centre is occupied by Starbucks n...

Ibn Battuta is (on plus side)
+ a large mall
+ has different "quarters" (Chinese, Persian, Egyptian, etc.) which brings a lot of variety
+ is equipped with a nice Imax cinema
on minus side:
- has a name that is difficult to pronounce / remember ;-)
- ceiling is low and there is no natural light
- one floor,...

I liked this mall because it wasn't just all high-end brands with hordes of people. Instead, it was very sensible with a wide variety of stores and a decent selection of places to eat in the food court. Of all the areas of the mall to visit, the Chinese section with the giant ship was most impressive.
