Mahata Palace was rennovated and made into a museum a while back. Located in a residential suburb of Karachi the imposing pink sanstone building is a beautiful example of the previous century's architecture. Built by a wealthy hindu trader in the 19th century the palace and its gardens are one of the few heritage spots to visit in Karachi. The... More

If you like historical architecture and are fond of art, the Mohatta Palace is for you. This old Palace built of pink stones has been turned into a Museum. It is well worth a visit as it usually has a well curated Exhibition, therefore 1-2 hours should be more than enough. The Fee is minimal and the ambiance is excellent.... More

I've been a couple of times and there is still lots of work to be done. The building is gorgeous but, with everything else the Pakistani (Sindh) government has on its plate, historical buildings is not high on the list of priorities. Worth going. More
