We would advise the guided tour it cost about a tenner each but is well worth it as you learn a lot from the guide not just about the city but also Croatia itself.

City walls are fantastic, full of history - Amazing views. However, no disabled facilities and lots and lots of stairs. Quite expensive but worth it. Worth entering from the port side as less stairs and less crowded. Also worth going early in the morning or late in the evening.

The old town was completely rebuilt after the war in 1991 and still reconstructing. Walls give great view. Many streets but not exhausting to walk them all. Clean. Nothing out of the ordinary.

it is 900 kunas, (over £10) for the privilege of walking around the old city on the walls- but well worth it. the views are outstanding .

We thoroughly enjoyed doing this early in the morning before it gets too hot or too crowded. The views are spectacular from every direction. Take care if wet as it may be slippery.

The early history of Dubrovnik is shrouded in the mysteries of time, but it is known that the wall dates back as early as the 7th century and was completed in its present form during the 16th century. The wall encapsulates the city as it grew from the rocky island of Laus and merged with mainland settlements after the channel... More

Fantastic views of the old city and the Dalmation coast. It's quite a clamber round, especially in the heat. Very enjoyable though. There's an excellent and welcome juice bar at one point providing welcome refreshment. A bit pricey but worth it. Pay for it as part of the Dubrovnik Card rather than in a single transaction.

This involves a lot of up and down and I wouldn't want to do it on a hot summer day but it was great on May 18 . Views are worth all the effort . A bit surprising that they charge (90 kuna or about $15 each) , but I guess they need the money
