This is very real and it makes the cold hard reality sink in about the homeland war. What it does do is it Ives you a greater appreciation of the old town when you next walk through. Selectively left out details and poor English translation is frustrating. There is a lot of text content to follow and as the spelling... More

I really liked looking around the museum which I scattered with bit of memorabilia, Information, photos and videos. For me the most moving part was watching the videos which show the old town and Mount Srd, where the fortress/museum is, being attacked. It really makes it all a reality of how devastating the war was as it is hard to... More

It was very interesting to see the Dubrovnik account of the 1991 war. It made me want to read more about the conflict. However, I would have liked to have seen more information about the origins of the conflict. More

Went with a guide who fought in the war. He was very knowledgeable and personal. More

An interesting display that has a reasonable amount of information in relation to the actual war. However I didn't see any background information to the conflict and why it happened, which would have been useful. Also some of the English translations could do with a rewrite as they were difficult to follow. Despite the critisisms above it is still worth... More

Our host, Ante, from S&L Guesthouse, escorted us to the museum (on top of mountain above Dubrovnik), and explained all of the exhibits. There are some moving photos and narratives posted on the walls. This museum truly shows the idiocy of war. More

This was well worth the visit. I am interested in history and I found this to be a really gripping experience. Mainly because of how recent it was. I would recommend this for anyone who really wants to get a decent insight into recent Croatian history. More

The films, the handheld video footage of the attack on Mount Srd makes you feel as though you're being attacked. The information doesn't make it clear why the war started. You're overall impression is incomplete. Worth a visit. It feels real. The old city down below has become a theme park for ripping off tourists from the passing cruise liners. More

This museum is mostly made of posters combing a mixture of text and pictures regarding the build up to, events during and effects of the homeland war in Dubrovnik. With some cases showing weapons used or relating to the war. While this topic interested my greatly the text was simply too hard to get into. The level of detail was... More

Our guidebook didn't exactly rave about this museum, however it is really well done with massive amounts of information about the conflict and siege of Dubrovnik. Definitely worth a visit, it's just a shame the cable car up Mount Srdj is really quite overpriced. More
