You probably walk through this without even intending to. It was modeled after St.Marks in Venice. A nice place to have a cup of coffee and take a few photos, but this attraction wont take up too make of your time

I haven't been to Venice so far, so maybe that's why for me it is a unique feeling sitting on prokurative (= Trg Republike) and enjoying the sun and coffee while people are doing the same, or just passing by, visiting the theatre, kids are playing ball or tag on the square, cats are following their business... At the end of Split's watefront Riva is a marvelous square called the Prokurative, which sits grandely up a few steps from the promenade.

Spacious square, built 1863 - 1867, often hosting concerts and cultural events. There are 2 coffee shops with outdoor seatings to enjoy the views from on a sunny day.
