One boat takes you to one end of the island, another one returns
you, at the other side of it! Try commuter buses... what a zoo.
The island is totally bland. A bit too dry, with little vegetation and
hardly any structure to visit. It wastes a full day, that i would spend in Plitvice Park or Dubrovnik. Really, not...

We caught the ferry from Split to Hvar and then a local, very comfortable, bus across the island to see Bol. As it was very early in the season, there was little to see apart from the sandy spit at Bol, although the small harbour is attractive. The harbour at the ferry terminal is also attractive and the bus journey...

I spent a wonderful day...

A lot of the hotels and activities were closed as we visited in early April, but there was still enough going on to make it a very worthwhile trip. Definitely take the gentile walk up to the fort for amazing views.
I flew to Spilt to start my wonderful Croatian holiday. This Place is the best connection to Hvar islands. Hvar islands are like heaven on earth. My husband and me had a wonderful time here sailing to the pretty small islands around it. We rented a boat ourselves, took our swim suits and tanned ourselves in this sunny and heavenly...
