Some excellent beaches, beautiful old towns and great wines which are not that easy to find. The town of Hvar is full of tourists, but other places are less frequent and maybe even more interesting, e.g. Jelsa.

Because of the limited ferry schedule you are stuck on the island even if you have seen all you want to see. If you are looking to relax by the water and enjoy the sun, this is the place. Water is beautiful

In order to truly enjoy the Hvar Island, one must really explore beyond Hvar city. A lot of the hotels and activities were closed as we visited in early April, but there was still enough going on to make it a very worthwhile trip. Definitely take the gentile walk up to the fort for amazing views.
