Battleship Potyomkin is without a doubt a landmark of a movie so this steps is must see! Otherwise it is not too spectacular. View from the bottom is better then from the top. The sight of the cargo port is not spectacular if not ugly.

I still cannot get this: why these steps are so popular? These are just regular stone steps. If I knew that before, I wouldn't spend time going there.

Very interesting architectural landmark - from the top it looks lake it has same width for all of it length. When you look from the bottom you see that lower parts are wider that one at the top. Great film scene has been shot on these stairs - look up on the net!

Fantastic part of Odessa history, built between 1837 and 1841, there are 200 steps which takes you down to the sea port of Odessa. Great photo location.
