Awesome place to just relax and people watch. When I was there in May, there was a group of teenagers playing music who were surprisingly good. The whole area has a very relaxed feel. Plenty of benches and stuff. There arent many boats docked there during the day, but as the sun starts to go down, the alley fills up... More

Great place to watch the boats motor in and out of this confining space. Fun way to enjoy a drink, lunch, etc. while taking in all the activity going on in the water. Water taxi has a stop there, as well.

For whatever you think about ego alley it is the main walkway outside of main street.you can't avoid it when going to the city dock. I have kayaked a number of timed through here in the summer. Nothing like docking a kayak and shopping on main street afterwards.

Look at the boats while shopping, enjoying great restaurants or just browsing. There is a great ice cream shop there too.

I am not much of a boat person so this was nothing particularly special to me but it was part of a nice evening stroll through Annapolis and along the water.

If you like looking at boats you will never be able to have, owned by guys whose fathers' trust funds got them into harvard and yale, drop by ego alley. Otherwise, wait outside ego alley and spit on those guys as they get out of their fancy yachts!

On nice days the boaters like to show off by doing a turn around in this very narrow alley on the water.

This is a small inlet from the Chesapeake Bay where larger boats tie-up for the night. You can walk past them and gawk! The boats generally only stay a day or two so there is an ever changing cast of characters. I can't afford any of them but I get a vicarious thrill imagining what it would be like to... More

There is no place better to spend an hour on a warm summer day. If you're a people watcher, you'll be in heaven. And it doesn't take long to see how it got the name "Ego Alley". If, like me, you are not able to afford such boats, you can dream to your heart's delight. When finished, you can add... More

Ego alley is basically a stroll around the marina looking at some nice boats. For people like me who enjoy such a thing it is worth the time. There are some good restaurants around for lunch and dinner. Annapolis is a nice place to visit!
