This theater is small and verygood we went there for a musical Play performance and it was worth the visit
the architecture of this building is pretty. too bad it was closed. but i stayed a while just shooting pics of it. San fransico church is right next door. also a wonderful place to take pics.
Apparently it is closed for further renovation at this time. The outside is very attractive as are pictures of the inside. You cannot find a schedule of performances on the Internet.
this parking lot is safe, very inexpensive and right in the exact place you would like to begin a waling tour of the old city. On Saturday you are right next to the market/crafts. We did not go into the teatro so I can not review it directly.
This is were they have special preforming arts from dance to singing. We attended a performance of the National Dance. It was wonderful. This teatro has been remodeled and is in the old colonial part of town It feels like you are attending an off Broadway performance. Go if you can. Parking is available.
but was closed for restoration when we visited. Still worth a look and maybe it will be open soon. Located near Plaza Bolivar.
I recommend visiting the place for a play or music concert. It will take you back in time while enjoying art, architecture and music.
If you can´t get a ticket to a performance try and get inside to have a look. The theater is in the old part of the town so it can easily be part of your walking tour.
