One of the sights tot to be missed while visiting this city. A hugh statue overooking city views all around, a nice park with more war and independance monuments, great for a walk on a sunny day.

In Kreschatik situated Varenichna (good ukrainian restraurant), Club 44 (good bear, sometimes good music)

As unmissable as it is located in the very heart of the city Independence Square is unavoidably the place to visit. The venue for the legendary blank Orange Revolution, it still is the place for many political and cultural gatherings. Week-ends and holidays no traffic is allowed here or on Khreshchatyk Street, so many staged concerts would take place there....
