That small problem aside, the garden is well kept and absolutely beautiful in the spring. While having a stroll, you'll come across impressive pine trees, a lily pond with waterfall and a herb garden. Bucharestians treat the gardens as a park, and on warm afternoons you may see more young lovers than plants. The huge glasshouses are open Tue, Thr, Sat, Sun, 09:00 - 13:00. Take bus 336 from Universitate to get there. Admission 10,000 lei (5,000 for children). « less

Compared to the Botanical Garden in Cluj and Iasi, the one in Bucharest is really a pitty. For sure not recommended as a must see for a traveler coming to Bucharest. Old syle administration (one person sells tickets, another one stands beside her to check them at allow you to pass!!), nothing is properly being cared of. Two quite small... More

It is a depressing place, with ill-kept flower beds, dying plants, terrible potholes, lots of stray dogs protecting their territory and becoming aggressive if you cross their path. Absolutely a waste of time. What a pity! More

Great atmosphere, nice flowers, cheap entry price. Think of it as a park rather than a Botanical Garden. More

The Botanical Garden of Bucharest is more than 150 years old. There are situated an Botanical Institute and a Botanical Museum. Also, there you can admire some external and internal sectors, where are exposed many plants from all the world. The entrance prices areb very cheap - around 1 - 1,5 euro. More

Not as impressive as Cluj-Napoca's botanical garden, but pleasant and educative. More
