Read the reviews here and had to see this building so went to see Don Quixote performed by the Romania Symphony. The Ateneul lived up to the reviews. It's a beautiful building. This is a wonderful building. If you visit Bucharest make sure you see it. The outside is dignified neo-classical; fine but not special, with a touch of the wedding-cake about it. Attended the Symphony in this great architectural building in late April. Worthwhile visiting and the music was wonderful. Reasonably priced as well. Good spot to visit. More
