Maybe if you are a Romanian peasant, you could like this place. Dull, dull material exhibited with no apparent sense of eye appeal. I wish I could have gotten a refund. Skip this and sit in the park north of the museum instead.

If you're in Bucharest even for a weekend, you must visit this museum. They organise regular fairs and temporary exhibitions, you can find great hand-made traditional objects at very reasonable prices. The ticket price is below 1 EUR and during fairs, there is no charge. Not all staff speak English / French or German...

Beautiful building with some nice displays, not interactive for small children to enjoy, couldn't find anything written in english and women who work there were NOT friendly at all.
