Cycling through the Ploiesti and Urlati regions with Mircea was an awesome experience. You find yourself at very close quarters with real Romanian country life and as you cycle along you can observe people going on about their daily business. Mircea is an excellent guide. He even offered to pick me up from the next station along as I had... More

I joined Mircea for a 5-day-long tour of Macin/Dobrogea region. We had already an adventurous journey from Prague to Bucurest and then to Braila but we felt safe and had completely no problems on the trains. On the spot, Mircea turned out to be a guy for everything - a good guide, driver, companion, cook or translater! Mircea took care... More

The biking tripes were great: beautiful locations, different tours, Mircea was adjusting the tours to our pace and physical condition. The weather in september was perfect for the biking trips(i.e. still sunny and warm, I would say that june, july and august could be even too warm for such trips). I would like to be back and joint cycling Romania... More

Firstly, just one word to describe my experience with Cycling Romania: exceptional! It was in the middle of the week when I received the email from CR, inviting me to go on a trip to the Macin area, in Dobrogea. It had been a tough week and the one to follow did not look any better. The enthusiasm and involvement... More

I’ve been on a tour with Cycling Romania in the Prahova area. I can really say that it was a trip back in time, when I was careless and spent a lot of time in the nature. This is the feeling that remained at the end of the day, a really great tour which managed to bring up a really... More

I had the chance to discover with Mircea the beauty of unknown places in Romania, like Dobrogea - where one can explore various areas from the rocky mountains to the golden plains, and from from the dry steppe to the Danube river in only couple of hours. The time slowed down and I rediscovered the joy of simple things, like... More

I've been twice on a Cycling Romania tour. First Prahova, than Macin (Dobrogea area). It was fun and relaxing at the same time. I got to meet really nice people, to see some breathtaking places, to experience new sensations (like biking on a road with weeping willows) and most of all, to disconnect from the stressful city life. I greatly... More

My second trip with Mircea involvced cycling through some incredible forests and plains in Prahova county, which is about one hour north of Bucharest. It's slowly paced and ideal for non-fanatic cyclists. If you're in Bucharest this is the best way to spend your weekend. More
