Of course it's beautiful at every turn, the churches, museums, buildings. The huge main pedestrian only area is so alive and full of people, the buzz of everyone milling about is great. This area is the best in the evening. Just sit at one of the cafes and people watch while sipping Croatian wine. We walked every street of the...

The lower town is the main commercial/entertainment district, with all the standard shops etc. The main thing here though are the huge numbers of cafes with tables filling every pedestrianised street. This is where the locals parade, especially on a Saturday morning, to see and be seen. Grab a coffee, a hot chocolate or a beer and watch the people...
