Upper town is a place to chill during hot summer nights- it's always a bit colder there and there are open air concerts almost every night. It's very romantic, with nice bars and restaurants. Must visit!

You've got to visit here and have a stroll if you're in Zagreb. You can walk up sone very steep steps to get here or walk up a longer, less steep road. Worth a visit to look at all the interesting buildings.
The Old town is attractive, lots of bars and eating places, and local shopping. But lots of places shut on Sundays
Don't miss Didovsan Restaurant at Mletacka 11, Gomji Grad and St. Mark's Church. Also be sure to walk from Lotrscak Tower to Lower Town through the pedestrian walkway.
A very pleasant and interesting walk which takes you throu the Cathedral, the market, the main & longest road for many years, some of the best restaurants, the Parliament, the embassy district and some Museums. We walked to the top, past through most of the historic sites and on our return we used the steps located next to the teleferic....

Really nice to walk around the shops and bars in the old town. Beautiful architecture and a lot going on.
Take the funicular up and see the governmental center of the city and it's quaint look. Make sure you see all the museums and churches up here.

Through the Stone Gate if you are in that area, up the stairs just off Jelacica Square on Radiceva Street or (if you are a wuss) up the funicular off Illica Street west of the main (Jelacica) square. The...

The buildings were interesting to see, especially the old churches, and the market was fun to stroll through. We walked up there, which may be difficult for some, as it's on a hill, but you could also take a tram part...

It was nice to walk around for a few hours. I wandered in and out of places, and I took some nice photos. There are maps that I saw in many hands that outline a great walking tour. I got a little lost here and there, but was able to find my way eventually.
