Definitely worth the trek uphill. I found it less 'touristy' (if that's possible in Cusco) that most of the rest of the town. Really enjoyed the views from the tiny streets.
Hilly*, picturesque neighbourhood with plenty of shops, cafes/bars/restaurants, museums, hotels and narrow streets. Close to the main square and enroute to Saksaywaman. *Not the most easy place to walk if one has mobility limitations.

Apart from the hippy waffle cafe (which was great), and the Church, the rest of the area is a bit twee with stalls selling the same things that can be found elsewhere. Not really worth the drag up the (quite steep) hill.
Very nice area, with easy access to many great restaurants. The narrow cobblestone streets accommodate both pedestrians and motor vehicles, so be aware.
