There is a tour bus that leaves from this park and travels around the city. There are several types of tours. The trees in the park are very unique. They are some sort of pine tree from Chile.

Take a load off sightseeing and shopping and enjoy this beautiful park in the heart of the city. There is also an excellent ice cream parlor on the edge of the park, but I can't remember its name.
All of the little plaza's that we made it to were very pretty with the statues, fountains, flowers and large trees.
On any day the park is a gathering spot for locals. On special days entertainment is provided by civic organizations. Impromptu performances occur occasionally and may include break dancing, juggling, and music by indigenous and other groups
Lush, beautiful square next to the New Cathedral. Great place to sit and soak up atmosphere, enjoy a lunch, talk with friends.
Cuenca has a done an admirable job of restoring its prime square, making it a pleasant place to pass some leisure time while watching people
Ecuador has managed to surprise us with its great city of Cuenca! A pearl which revealed itself to us so unexpectedly! The city architecture made a long lasting impression on us!
It's a beautiful park day and night. There is always something going on in this lovely setting. It is a perfect place to people watch, have an ice cream cone and watch the little children play.
What a great place to sit and rest during a busy day of site seeing. Wonderful people watching, midway between the beautiful old and new cathedrals and close to the nearby flower and artisans markets.
This park provides a great place to commune with nature, meet local people, practice your Spanish and just watch the world go by. Flanked by the old and new Cathedrals there are also shops, restaurants, ice cream stores and vendors and shoe shine stands. Very nice place to pass some time and drink in Cuenca. Watch your bag.
