This is a pretty good attraction, but it is NOT the centre of the world, this is 300 yards down the road in a scientific area. Touristy, gimmicky but well worth it. Go and grab a picture of yourself straddling the Equator, have your passport stamped and send a cheesy postcard. Lots of hand made arts and crafts, plenty of galleries and information about the area. Tip - take sun cream. More

Okay so honestly this isn't really worth it, costs two dollars to get into the park. Pretty much the only thing is the picture of the monument (going up the monument is an additional 3$). It is kind of a money pit..and a bit hoaky. Also, not the actual site of La Mitad de Mundo. More

Dont bother with coming here. Its just a tourist trap and not even on the equator line. Go to Museo de Sitio Intinan instead. The actual equator line runs through it. More
