I have recently visited the Battle Box Museum on the insistance on my 9 year old Son who is into everything to do with WW11 history. My son was more interested in doing this than going to places like Sentosa Island. We walked up the driveway into Fort Canning Park from the back of Park Shopping Mall, past the sculpture... More

The "Battle Box" in Fort Canning Park, Singapore is the restored final headquarters of General Percival and the location of the final decision to surrender Singapore to the Japanese. Now cleaned up, restored and air-conditioned it will be of interest in particular to World War II history buffs but don't expect it to be on the level of the Cabinet... More

A great little treasure. We have lived in Singapore for 5 years and this is the first time we have been to this historic site. The style of the set up is so engaging, the animatronics and figures may seem dated but they are so much better than modern virtual rubbish. Combine this with Changi prison museum and Kranji war... It was very informative, the tour was well worth it. Only thing left to be desired was the flow of the tour. Was left on a couple of occasions wondering if the guide was coming back but he always did (eventually). Great destination and valuable source of WWII history. More

I stumbled upon the Battle Box on a walk around Fort Canning Park and decided to take the tour because I am a huge fan of anything regarding WWII history. The tour was packed, and were were split into two groups. The tour guide was enthusiastic and knowledgeable and helpful with questions, but I almost wish he wasn't there. There... More

Took my nephew for a quick history lesson during our vacation. The Battle Box has some awesome animatronics to re-create the days leading up to the British surrender in 1942. The tour begin with a short video narration of the early days of World War 2. After that we were taken into the bunker where a tour guide was waiting... More

Set in Fort Canning park which was lovely in itself. This museum is located in the British command bunker with animatronic explanations of the events leading up to the decison to surrender to the Japanese. Unusual and a good one to see if you're also going to Changi. We had a lovely coffee in the upmaket hotel located in Fort... More

Even though I have been to Fort Canning a couple of times, i never knew that this control Headquarters of the Malaya Command during WW II existed under the hill, in a series of underground rooms and tunnels. The rooms are comfortably airconditioned, and you should definitely get a guide to walk you through the recent horrors of the war,... More

The Battlebox recreates the day the British army surrendered to the Japanese during WWII. It gives you a real insight into the conditions which the military would have faced and is excellently illustrated through the use of models and display materials. The only bugbear was that some of the commentary was difficult to hear or not working and our guide... More
