First went to Puka Beach in 1995, and it was really a deserted part of Boracay. Now, I heard there are already developments nearby. Sad really, Boracay has no sustainable map for development, the national government is out to destroy its competitive advantage such as quaint tourist spots by making it a venue for corruption. More

Well said by many contributors, Yapak is less crowded and water is pristine. Restaurants are more affordable. However, walking on Yapak beach is very hard. Little shade during walk and less fine sand and less firm ground exhausted myself very quickly under buring weather. Rest points for refilling seem to be scarce. Because of that, I left in less than... More

Head down towards the opposite end of the beach from the small restaurants and there is a small cave that is fun to explore. More

Don't forget to visit Puka beach located on the northern part of Boracay island. I visited this place and was so amazed because it is just like an unexplored part of Boracay with fewer people visiting it. Upon entering the Puka beach which is at the end of the main road, you can see white sands and large waves hitting... More

It was quite when we went to Puka Beach, it feels like we own the beach. No one was there. Just me and my darling husband. Best to get there if you are staying at the other side is to rent a bike. More

A must visit side of boracay island. We decided to stay here for one whole day. Sands are mixed with grinded shells were the puka derive from. I love my stay here and a must if you prepare a less crowded area at boracay. There are locals that can offer food and they can serve food right at the beach.... More

You can opt to go to puka beach by ATV instead of going to the highest hill in Boracay. More

Quiet and bluer waters than White Beach. This is actually the ideal beach - no fancy restaurants, just small ones that cater to simple needs. Water was just the deepest azure but sand is less fine than White Beach's. I would however, choose this over White Beach. More
