Needs a ticket to go in but nothing much to see here. I would give this a skip if you ask me (my personal opinion only). More

The place was nice and full of tourists. mostly domestic. Our guide was very polite and explained about historical aspect of the site. It was a wonderful place and the restoration really made it looked better ( we saw the picture before the renovation) More

i like the place. it reminds me of portugal. the water castle and bale raos is near. so it is recommended that after visiting the water castle and enjoy the historical view ( though it was gender biases) you go to bale raos and try the sultan old kitchen recipes More

Teenage graffiti adorns the walls in the several buildings, which is unfortunate, but keeping any wall free from graffiti in Yogyakarta is probably a losing battle. Entrance fee is 7,000 IDR/person with 1,000 for camera. I... More

This is interesting to see. There is not much left (it was apparently destroyed around the turn of the century) but the pools are intact. There are 2 courtyards, and 3 pools. It is all of a fairly simple design and lacks the features (e.g. gardens, plants, birds, 35 wives (!)) which would have made it so attractive years ago.... More
