I visited it in 2006 with some friends. It is a historical seaport and you can explore more about ancient Jakarta there . However, the weather is so hot, so bring your sunnies, umbrella, comfy clothes and shoes, and lots of sun block

nice place to take photograph, not much to see. good for tourists when you want to see the traditional wooden ship. beware it is difficult to find a toilet heheh

20 years ago this felt like a thriving port; currently it feels like a dying part of the culture; still has many wooden penisi vessels, just few with out 300 hp motors

This is a slice of living history, plus an insight into the economy of Indonesia (internal trade). Friendly people. Can get a trip in a small boat around the harbour to see more which I recommend!

Sunda Kelapa is a must for anyone who visits Jakarta and enjoys seeing sailing vessels out of another era. The waters around the vessels are terribly polluted but watching the loading and unloading of these classic ships is something right out of history. It's definitely one of the best things to see in Jakarta.

when we arrived there,the port workers are busy with their shipping works.nothing much to see...we just asked our driver to stop for few minute and taken few pic..the tour to sunda kelapa ended in just few minute!!!
