Worth the trip and the time. Not too expensive and something different from your typical Hong Kong tourist spots . It takes at least 2 hours, possibly 3 if you can spend more time. We took the cable car from City Gate Mall-25 minutes of fantastic views of the bay, mountains, other islands, a few small falls running from creeks.... More

Caught the cable car up to the big buddah with my wife. The view was nice - you can see the airport as you goes up - it was nice to see some trees and mountains in Hong Kong. There is an option for getting the cable car with glass floor, not a good option for people scared of height... More

Really enjoyed this trip across mountain peaks, scary at first because of the height, but the view made it so worthwhile. It takes about 25 mins to reach the top. The different vistas from each of the stages, are spectacular. The only shame is the cheap market stalls in the village and souvenier stalls which cheapen the experience, in my view.... More

My friends and I took a ride on the crystal cable car ride. The cable car has a see through at the bottom which is exhilarating. The ride takes about 20 mins and we see many greenery along the way. The view here reminds me of the cable car ride in Blue Mountain, Sydney. When we reach the island, we... More

Got the tickets to travel by train to Lantau - then got on to the cable car....relatively short wait time. Luckily we got a car where we were the only ones! The cable car ride take a while to get to the Ngong Ping 360 station - so we enjoyed the natural air cooling that was there in the car........ More

There are available lockers on the terminus you can rent for HK$20 for 3hrs but you need to have a deposit of additional HK$20 more which will be refunded if you do not exceed 3 hrs. We... More

This will be a day trip on its own. To travel to Lantau island (best is by train), taking the cable car or bus and walking to the Buddha will easily take a few hours. If the weather forecast predicts rain it's best you avoid this trip seeing as shelter is rare except for restaurants and souvenir shops where you'll... More

We went on the cable car as a relative recommend it to us, so we stopped off here before Disney as its only 1 stop detour on the MTR. The price was reasonable and there was no queuing, but it was terrible weather so this may have something to do with it....... Even though the weather was bad, very heavy... More

The ride is very pleasant giving you excellent views. It takes you to see the Great Buddha, which is more than worth it. More
