Great to have some open green space inside the city. Couldn't get a gym membership for the month that I was in Hong Kong and this park provided a good alternative. In the mornings, it is filled with retirees doing Tai Chi, traditional Chinese fan dances, and stretching. There is also a heavy compliment of joggers and walkers. I used... More

This is a big park and is quite nice, although accessing some parts can be awkward. It also has a public swimming pool, a bit packed though. The highlight is a large grass field (very rare in HK!) where one can simply lie down on the grass on a nice day and watch the clouds. Lots of festivals have events... More

Hanged out inside the park after a long walk from Causeway Bay. You can't do much here though, but that. You can't walk on jogging paths, you can't smoke even if you're going to dispose your butts properly. But I guess all the rules are meant to keep the place clean, and it's really good that everyone's following it (even... More

Just another city park. Nothing to offer to tourists. It is mostly full of people jogging/running/exercising. Nothing else is really special there. More

I think the name tells it all about Hong Kong... The park has very few activities allowed and is busy, most of the time, with commercial fair and sales. Smoking is forbidden. More

Hong Kong is well short on green space, at least in the city area. HK Park is a good option for those looking for some space. However, we like Hong Kong Park in the Central area better. There is a huge Chinese New Year fair here each year, worth checking out but difficult to enjoy due to the massive volumes... More

Think on New York's Central Park. Victoria Park can be Hong Kong's equivalent. It is better to visit it during the week, as on weekends it is invaded by people looking for some space and relax. It is interesting to note how in this park you can appreciate the melting pot of cultures so characteristic of this town. More

Not a big park by any means, but it does have a lot of nice trees and little trails for you to use and meander around this park. There's also access to free Wi-fi close to the jogging track/tennis courts (freegovwifi). Nicely laid out...and great if you want to chill out a bit and relax with others. More

A park in the hustle and bustle of Hong Kong city life. Thank to the government for doing the right thing by preserving this tiny spot of relaxation and serenity. Not exactly special - for tourists. But HK residents love the park. Especially during the exhibition periods and Chinese New Year. Defo my favourite spot on HK Island! More

Bound on every side by busy roads, Victoria Park isn't ideally located for a quiet place to relax, but it still manages to provide a large green area amidst the concrete jungle that is Causeway Bay. There are some good sports facilities; many tennis courts, a bowling green, open-air swimming pools (in summer), basketball/football pitches and a jogging track (which... More
