A must if you want to get out of the city.
The trail is quite difficult so avoid renting a bicycle and avoid coming with young children.
Try both beaches.

Finishes with a fab seafood lunch if you time it right and walk from the north to southern pier

Go for the tree hugging. Stay for the Kin Hing Tofu Dessert. It is right smack in the middle of the island along the hiking trail, can't miss it. Warm or cold, either way it sure hits the spot after a sweaty little hike.

Lamma is one of the smaller outlying islands in HK but with very much it's own feel and identity. Great hike with beautiful views and a great way to spend a day out of the city. Lamma is not just for seafood anymore ;)

Lamma Island is a lovely place. Take the ferry from Central Pier 4 for a 30-40 minutes ride. We started our hike from Yong Su Wan to Sok Ku Wan. The walk took around 1.5 hours through local houses, hills, cliffs, beaches, etc. Relatively easy walk and pleasant views. From Sok Kwu Bay, we took...

Go during cooler days. It is good to end the trail at the restaurant for lunch. Thus good to start around 10-11. Eating at the rainbow seafood restaurant allows you to take the free rainbow ferry back to central.

Don't be like us and get confused when walking around and head to the wrong one! We had to double back after walking for 1.5 hours.
