We went privately with a guide. A long, and at times harrowing drive, but, well worth it. This was the best preserved temple we saw (also enjoyed Edfu Temple). Being able to climb under into storage rooms and up onto the roof provided a deeper understanding of how these temples functioned. The best part was escaping the crowds in Luxor. More
