This tomb was fascinating as it shows everyday life - carvings are exquisite, perfectly accurate depicting hippos (one giving birth with a hungry crocodile behind it), animal husbandry, fishing etc. but the sheer beauty and accuracy was amazing. Dislike was no photos allowed but amazing what a little quick quiet baksheesh can do. More

This tomb contains some of the best preserved scenes of daily life from the Old Kingdom (c. 2350 BC), with both painted and raised relief scenes depicting agriculture, industry (e.g. woodworking, pottery, furnitivemaking), games, hunting etc. etc. It should definitely be visited even if you are on a flying visit. The only open tomb at Saqqara where the life-size statue of the deceased still looks out. Don't miss the wall carvings of Ti's wife and children. More
