“Stunning carvings”

This tomb was fascinating as it shows everyday life - carvings are exquisite, perfectly accurate depicting hippos (one giving birth with a hungry crocodile behind it), animal husbandry, fishing etc. but the sheer beauty and accuracy was amazing. Dislike was no photos allowed but amazing what a little quick quiet baksheesh can do. More

“A superbly decorated Old Kingdom tomb - a must-see at Saqqara”

“Seek this out at Saqqara”

The only open tomb at Saqqara where the life-size statue of the deceased still looks out. Don't miss the wall carvings of Ti's wife and children. More
