I stumbled upon signage to this small place while strolling around Coex Mall. There are very informative exhibits on kimchi making, though the friendly multitasking guy (ticketing and cashier for kimchi purchases) at the museum entrance volunteered to be our tour guide and photographer when we visited on a quiet weekday afternoon. if you are interested in kimchi then this is the place for you if you have time in Seoul. Could have had better English text for visitors who can't read Korean fluently!

The museam is located inside of the COEX mall in Seoul. Easy to get to. Signs posted in English.

Went there to understand more about a popular dish in Korea. The museum is kind of small, and the level of detail about the history of the dish was not too great. Some of the exhibits looked like it saw better days. The education and data room was packed with boxes and kimchi-making ingredients. I didn't see any directions on...

i was really excited about going to the kimchi museum in seoul. i was ending a 2 week trip through SE asia, and knew that i couldn't handle going to any more temples or art museums. this is a very small place and won't take up much of your time, definitely less than 1 hr. it's located in the COEX...
