Having travelled up the Chindwin River and seen the vestiges of the War,[even found a British 1941 half penny],then to visit the cemetary was a most complete experience,to see the names of long disbanded Regiments and their members,for what.Very few people visit,the caretaker is a wonderful older man who is subsidised by a Brit organisation,he has a wealth of stories,you... More

“A beautiful place to memorize the fallen soldiers”

The ground is located about 2 miles a way from Rangoon. The place is quiet and very formal indeed. The tour guide showed us around and it was easy to know what’s going on because the signs and the descriptions are all in English. More
