This is a must for anyone whether you have kids or not. It's such a great day. Snorkel..........eat.........snorkel........have a drink........snorkel..........eat.........snorkel........another drink thenyou can go home. We usually have about 3 or so hours here.

The kids loved posting a letter underwater. Its not too deep so all the kids can do it.

We went to the underwater post office twice on our trip, and i must admit it would have been great if someone was in there. Maybe they could have opening hours of when it is actually maned. My kids enjoyed it anyway.

We went to Hideaway Island to post an Underwater Postcard. All the photos about it shows a guy in scuba gear in a little hut underwater, which is what we expected. What it was however, was a normal letterbox under the water to put the letters into. Of course, I didn't expect someone to be in the Post Office 24/7,...

Although it does sound a bit gimmicky everyone in our group had to swim out to the post box to post a letter!! Grandma at home thought it was great to receive her waterproof card. Something a bit different!!

Make sure you can hold your breathe...A very nice different experience.....only bad thing is....the post cards take FOREVER to get to where they are going

My 6 year old daughter was very fascinated by this and throroughly enjoyed it but I really don't see the point of it. Just a kennel and a mail box chained underwater!

A very easy snorkel to the underwater post office. You pay $5 AUS for a card and write in pencil to send your underwater postcard. The water was murky around the area of the post office when we visited, luckily we had a guy who was staying on the island snorkel over and show us where it was. So if...
