THE SUMMIT GARDENS have been developed to provide maximum pleasure to the visitor. We went on a Sunday late afternoon to the Summit Gardens. We first had lunch and then went to see the garden. The garden gives a beautiful view of the bay and the last part of the garden gives you an overview of the plants growing in Vanuatu. We bought some of their natural products from the distillery which are... More

How this got to be number one is beyond me. Its someone's back garden, that they have opened up to "fleece" the tourists. It cost 2,000vt each to get in. The views are amazing, but that's where it ends. If I want to see someone's back garden statues, and their rundown house, I'd go to the local village for free.... More

We really enjoyed our visit to the Summit Gardens- though it was an adventure getting there. We had planned to catch the Mele Express Bus that leaves from the Anchor Inn on the hour, but we just missed the bus so caught a local bus- however he had not been there before and ran out of petrol almost up the... It was very expensive to get onto a tour to see the gardens and nowhere in the prospect did it say anything that the actual garden walk is completely unsuitable for a stroller. The beauty products that are made and sold on site are very fragrant and nice but also expensive ( I bought a hand cream for 18$...). The... More

Quite a scary ride to reach the gardens, especially when the road is wet, but well worth the effort. The gardens are magnificent, with a wide variety of tress, plants and shrubs. The guides are knowledgeable and friendly and provide information on all the varied plants. Being at the highest point, the views from the gardens are breathtaking and a... More

My sister and I spent a day in Vanuatu during a recent cruise. We hired our own driver for the day and so were able to spend as much time as we needed at each attraction. The Summit Gardens were definitely the highlight of our limited time in Vanuatu. The steep winding climb to the top was nerve wracking but... More

Due to sore limbs from previous water activities declined the walk through the gardens and headed to the distillery where we were shown how they get the sandlewood oil from the sandlewood log and how they shave the wood to enhance the perfumes for soaps, candles etc, very informative. A short walk over to the shop and Café, remember to... More

A hidden gem that we discovered on our last day. Gorgeous views and friendly staff - only thing to be aware of is organising a driver to pick you up and not rip you off. Our driver abandoned us, but luckily for us the owner of the gardens was there and he drove us down the mountain and to a... More

After doing the zipline we were extremely hungry. The cafe was small but had indoor and outdoor seating. The food was well presented and tasty. We loved the view which was quite beautiful and the kids loved their milkshakes.
