The Commodores Tour is the first activity that one should do as soon as they get to "The Rock". Keith is very passionate about Niue and its people. He knows all the good spots for swimming etc and the odd spot for the adventourist. His stories of the Niue culture are very informative. Keith and Sue are great people, we... More

Thanks Patrick for your support. As an "import" to Niue myself, I have been fortunate to be able to spend the last seven years exploring the special nooks and crannies that Niue has in abundance. Not sure about "culture" as that is a Niuean treasure that I wouldn't want to intrude on. There are other Niuean tour guides who can... More

We went on Keith The Commodores Tour the Saturday after we arrived. It was well worth it as Keith takes you to all the places you would probably miss. Loved the tour, can't rave about it enough.Would encourage everyone to do it. Loved Niue, will be back next year hopefully. Should have stayed 2 week to really relax & get... More

Thank you Sonja, Yes many of our visitors such as you, who have travelled widely to other destinations around the world often make the same comments about the swimming and snorkeling here. The unique clarity of the water in all snorkleing spots has to be seen to be believed. This clarity is the result of a number of factors that... More

Niue is a completely different island Went in March but would recommend later when the wet season has finished as humidity high and no whales and few dolphons. To see all the caves must be fit as some steep walks down to them also just down to some of the beaches .Very pictouresquere scenery of the cliffs all round the... More

Thank you for taking the time to submit a review of your visit to NIue. I certainly agree with your comments. Niue certainly isn't the typical "flop and drop" mass tourist destinations you can find in the South Pacific. And "Yes !" there is a certain level of fitness required as some of the walks can be quite challenging, especially... More

The Commodore is a great bloke and very friendly, helpful and informative. He and his wife gave a lot of themselves, even after the orientation tour. Their passion for the island is very evident in all that they do. A pleasure to meet them both and we found the tour of huge benefit. We would highly recommend it to every... More

Thanks Darlene for your supportive comments. It was our pleasure meeting both of you as it was catching up with you later in the week. Meeting travelers such as you is a two way process. While living in a South Pacific paradise has many good points, the down side can be social isolation for the ex-pats here on NIue. Our... More

Keith and Sue have the knowledge, the experience, and a good relaxed style of demonstrating to you what this unique island and its culture is all about, by taking you to good examples, and filling in information gaps about anything of the island and its people. A must do at the start of your stay, as an aid to how... More

Thanks Alan H for taking to time write your comments. I don't claim to know very much about Niuean culture, being a Kiwi who has only lived here for seven years. However being a scuba diver and photographer, I can help visitors make the most of their time here if they are keen snorkelers or if they just wan't to... More

Was recommended to go on this tour - not usually being one for tours myself. Was very impressed. Kieth was a fantastic guide, who enthusiastically showed me around the island, pointing out and explaining not only the tourist sites and great places to go and when, the history and culture, but also made the tour relevant to my interests in... Greetings from Niue, JP. Thank you for your comments on our tour recently. Even more appreciated, when such tours are not your #1 priority when first visiting a new destination. When one lives in Paradise, although deep in the South Pacific, social isolation can be one of the downsides. So meeting visitors such as you, becomes a two way exchange.... More

You have to have Keith a call, you won't regret it. He showed us around the Island in a his very comfortable and airconed (a bonus on what was a very hot day) mini bus. He was great at pointing out and actually showing us which snorkelling spots are the best (not that any were bad) and best of all... More

Thanks for your review. While visits to Niue last a week, there is so much to see and do. A bit of local knowledge can make all the difference to enjoying your time. One of the prime "To Dos" in Niue's crystal clear waters, is snorkeling and talking to you before you left, you certainly experienced that. Best wishes and... More

In the four hours on the Commodore;s Tour we learnt more about the attractions, history and culture of Niue than couples who had been on the island for a week driving around in their rental vehicle. While a rental vehicle is required to drive to attractions and restaurants, after the tour you will know where to go and when to... More

Thank you, "Traveller to Brisbane" for your supportive review. As there is no public transport on Niue, a car or bike is essential. Being a 250 km sq island, there are a lot of exciting places to visit. It was a pleasure having you visit us here on Niue, and I am pleased that the background information and top places... More

We took this tour on our first day which not only gave us a sense of direction but also gave us a full range of information about the history, geography, culture and facilities. Keith was friendly and answered our many questions with knowledge and enthusiasm. More

Thank you Sandy G for your kind words of support. Niue is a "mild adventure" location and reef walks, cave visits and sea tracks all require care and the appropriate footwear.Good to read about the new friendships you made on our small group tour. Come back with more of your New Zealand friends. Best wishes from the Commodore. More
