If you are interested in early aviation or in life in America in the early 1900s, the Amelia Earhart home is worth a visit. Atchison is about an hours drive & 50 years of time away from Kansas City. Think about lunch or dinner at the Riverhouse restaurant, sitting on the banks of the wide Missouri River.

Her house was so pretty! It was old, but still modern, because they obviously probably had to rebuild it. This was a great museum. :)

This home is well kept and provides a nice look at her life. Documentation is great - lots of photos and items to provide a complete story. Also a beautiful location overlooking the river. Worth a visit for the whole family!
