A very interesting museum in Bogotá Colombia. Lots of gold and precolombian figures. Also has a dark room with the most beatiful gold things placed omn black material and with spotlights.

The Museo del Oro is one of the most spectacular museums I've ever seen. It reminded me of the King Tut exhibition that I saw In New Orleans 30 years or so ago, only times three or four. The pieces were beautiful, some with very intricate workmanship and represented the local historic culture. I would go again in a heartbeat!...

If you're into gold and the origin of metal working this is a great museum to visit. It's definitely the nicest museum in Columbia and it's extensive, well organized, and only $3.00 to get in.
