It was interesting to see the history of the money, but after a while its a bit samey. Plus it was all in Spanish so I only understood half of it!

A must go museum, if not the first choice to visit, you must include it among the nicest places to visit in Bogota
This is located right next to Botero museum so I decided to give it a look. It's located in the old Bogota Mint and the building is excellent to look at.
Unfortunately only about 50% of the exhibit was in English, I can speak (and read) decent Spanish but it is very tiring.
If you're interested in currency and economics...

This place took about 30 mins. to complete. I thought it could of been a little more extensive, but for free I can't complain. If you go here you can take advantage of the Botero museum that is right next door. They gave a free token coin as you exit.
This place shows a little history of how the money was make n Colombia thru the years. The displays are very nice and very well explained. This area in general has very small interested places to visit.
This museum not only shows the gold and silver coins and gives an interesting overview of money through the ages but also shows some pretty big and interesting BIG machines...worth a visit!
Alongside the Museo Botero, this is an important place to review all the history of Colombia's currency.
It's mildly interesting, and connected to the Botero. So it's easy and free. The development of coins to paper, how they made money. Every country's done it.
The museum per se it's not the best in Bogota but the place is beautiful. So if you have a chance go there and take some good pictures.
Interesting exhibits and one of the few places where the signage is in Spanish and English enabling those of us with seriously deficient Spanish vocabulary to get the most of the exhibits. Nice touch being given a commemorative minted coin on leaving the museum.
